Joanna Finn, DDS – Dentist
Dr. Joanna Finn earned her D.D.S. from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She also holds a B.S. in Biomolecular Science from the University of Michigan. Dr. Finn’s mission is to provide comprehensive dental care in a safe and comfortable environment. She is a member of the MDA and ADA.
Dr. Joanna Finn became interested in the field of dentistry when she underwent jaw surgery for a fractured mandible at the age of 9 in which she learned the importance of the doctor patient relationship being built on mutual trust and respect.
A lifelong Michigan resident, Dr. Joanna Finn is excited to be a new part of the Mid-Michigan community. She is thrilled to join the wonderful team at LifeSmiles of Gladwin to serve patients in the community with compassion, humor, and quality dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Finn enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. Dr. Finn and her fiance do not ever miss a Michigan football game. Go blue!
Gail – Hygienist
Gail brings a bright smile and more than 46 years of Dental Hygiene experience to the Lifesmiles practice in Gladwin. She is enthusiastic about the complete health dentistry that she practices here. Her past includes teaching for seven years at Delta College in the Dental Hygiene Department, and spending a summer at Bay Cliff Health Camp treating special needs children, Michigan Dentistry for the Handicapped, and private practice.
In her spare time, Gail energetically enjoys photography and spending time on her farm.
Amy – Hygienist
Amy graduated from Ferris State University with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene, and has worked as a hygienist for over 20 years. She enjoys her job because she is able to build relationships with her patients and educate them on how to take great care of their mouth.
Amy appreciates the confidence and trust patients have in her. She takes continuing education classes and reads journals to expand her knowledge, to give patient’s the best she has to offer, for oral and systemic health.
Amy and her husband live in Midland and have three children and three cats. When not at work, she enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, biking, gardening, football, basketball and spending time in nature. She also looks forward to visiting her son and daughter at their respective colleges, and in spending time with her youngest daughter, a senior Lacrosse player at Dow High.
Sherrie – Assistant
Sherrie is a Dental Assistant and brings over 20 years of experience to patients. She has been a Gladwin resident for nearly two decades and is always excited to serve the community.
In her past, Sherrie worked as a dental assistant before starting her own child care business. Once her two boys were older, she returned to assisting.
When the LifeSmiles practice opened in Gladwin, Sherrie was brought on and has been with the team ever since. She is a team player and makes the office flow more smoothly with her organizational skills.
She enjoys caring for patients and making sure they feel comfortable. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to rock music and being outdoors.
Desiree’ – Assistant
Desiree’ started taking dental assisting classes in June, 2022, and has been working as a dental assistant since then. She plans on continuing her education in dentistry to become a Registered Dental Assistant.
Desiree’ lives in Harrison with her husband Michael, son Owen and daughter Haley. She enjoys spending time with them and taking them on new adventures. One of the best parts of her job is meeting new people and helping them feel confident and more comfortable in the dental chair.

Darlene “Dolly” – Financial Coordinator
Dolly works at our front desk, specializing in insurance, finances, billing, treatment planning, scheduling patients, and many other tasks.
Dolly came to us after working in the hospital system as a radiology tech for several years.
She is the mother of two beautiful girls, aged 11 and 9. In her spare time you can find her doing something fun with her girls, such as going to the beach, shopping, and chilling by the fire pit.
Abbigail – Scheduling Coordinator
Abbigail worked as a medical assistant before joining LifeSMILES as a front desk coordinator. She felt a need for change and landed with us.
Her cheery attitude is always a blessing to the patients, as she handles scheduling, treatment planning, and several other tasks throughout the day.
Abbigail lives in Beaverton with her significant other Tim, and is step-mom to two boys. She enjoys spending time at their new property on the river in Beaverton with Tim and her best dog Copper.
Lori – Team Leader
Lori is a Gladwin County native who has been in dentistry for 43 years, both as a clinical team member and adminisitrator. She works in the background to ensure you have a team that gives you the best available dental care.
Lori enjoys living in Gladwin with her husband and two dogs, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, and loves to travel when given the opportunity.
Mason – Co-op Student
Our Community involvement includes training a Co-op student from our local schools.
